Senior Account Executive, Issue Advocacy - NYC or DC

BerlinRosen, one of the nation's leading progressive communications firms, is seeking a Senior Account Executive in our Washington, DC office to help our Issue Advocacy clients meet a wide range of campaign and communications goals in a changing media environment.

This position requires three to four years of professional experience in media relations, journalism, or a related field. As a Senior Account Executive you will help develop client strategies and transform those into workplans; manage those complex workplans and projects; function as the day to day contact for clients; oversee and drive your account teams' work; write and edit flawlessly; and pitch media.

We work with major progressive organizations on some of the most high-profile issues of our time. We have elevated the voices of working people in major media outlets across the country and around the globe.

Applicants should possess:

  • Previous experience with campaign-style communications across multiple clients
  • Strong news sense and knowledge of the media
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
  • A commitment to and passion for politics and familiarity with the political process at the state and national level
  • Ability to work with and on behalf of diverse communities
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail
  • Degree or experience in a communications-related field
  • A sense of humor!
